My main pastime within model engineering is passenger hauling with my loco at a number of tracks around the country. However this Tuesday my loco and I spent the day at the grand glass fronted building called the Forum in the city centre of Norwich, with not a piece of 7 1/4 track in site. The city centre is a beautiful mixture of old and new buildings and is well worth a visit.
The event was designed to encourage students to get involved with engineering and our Membership Secretary Allan Shirley of the Norwich S.M.E put together an excellent display of working model steam engines with assistance from a number of hard working members.
A very successful day enjoyed by all concerned. I’m sure we will be back again next year!
