Over the years I have experimented with a number of different steam raising devices. However in the end I thought I would develop a system around a small boiler forcing a jet of steam up the loco chimney in the same way the loco blower works. When I started I had no idea of the problems that were in store and how little I knew about running small gas fired boilers. The length of this post could rival War and Peace but I will try and keep it brief and let the photos tell some of the story.
